This policy describes how Ace IELTS Writing ("we", "the app") handles your information.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you create an account we store your email address and a securely hashed password.
• Your essays. Essays you submit, the AI feedback generated for them, and your scores are stored so you can review your history and progress.
• Community content. If you choose to share an essay or post a comment, it is visible to other users under the display name you provide.
• Usage analytics. We collect anonymized usage events (such as which screens are used) to improve the app. Analytics identifiers are not linked to your name.

How we use your information

• To grade your essays: submitted essay text is processed by an AI service (Google Gemini) solely to generate your score and feedback.
• To send password-reset codes to your email address.
• To show your own history, progress statistics, and coaching analysis.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not show advertising.
• We do not use your data for cross-app tracking.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. Deleting your account (Profile → Delete Account, or by emailing us) permanently removes your account and all associated essays from our servers.

Data storage & third parties

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure (Railway and Neon, hosted in the United States). Essay text is processed by Google's Gemini API to produce feedback. Password-reset emails are delivered via Resend. These providers process data only on our behalf.

Children

The app is intended for users preparing for the IELTS examination and is not directed at children under 13.
